Dark Night of the Podcast

Episode 92 – Anaconda (1997)

Troy and Roger been waiting for tonight (whoa-oh!) for longer than they care to admit, and it’s FINALLY time for them to discuss two of their favorite topics of all time… Jennifer Lopez and big fuckin’ snakes! Join the guys as they delve deep into the lush rainforests of Brazil to discuss everyone’s favorite “so bad it’s good” mid-90s creature feature Anaconda! Get swept away with them as they make their way down the Amazon river, and allow them to beguile you as they discuss important and applicable topics such as notably bad movies that are made significantly more palatable thanks to their surprisingly competent digital effects, the fact that Owen Wilson can only play characters that act and sound exactly like Owen Wilson, the common inability to accurately pronounce Kari Wuhrer’s last name, and the mysterious origins of Jon Voights unique and indistinguishable accent. Trust these gays when they warn you that THIS Anaconda don’t want none unless you’ve got buns hun, and that’s why JLo needs to watch her ample and curvaceous backside as she prepares to go into battle! Now hurry up and regurgitate your latest meal so you can properly treat yourself to a fresh helping of Dark Night of the Podcast!

We’re talking Mrs. Doubtfire-quality prosthetic applications, power drill kills that aren’t the ones from Slumber Party Massacre, Brinke Stevens in a movie that isn’t Slumber Party Massacre, a dog so irrationally violent that it’s in fact the scariest aspect of the film, and whether or not one’s claustrophobia is warranted when standing inside a relatively spacious pedestrian tunnel. So bust out your telescope and take a nice long peak, because Troy and Roger are about to shimmy their way into another episode!
